Fall 2024 Recreational Program

Vaqueritos Rec Soccer is designed for children ages 4 to 14. The program aims to introduce and teach age-appropriate technical and tactical skills, fostering both an appreciation and enjoyment of the game.  Our volunteer coaches will host one weekly practice and manage games on Saturdays. 


Additionally, for the first six weeks of the fall season, we include a one-hour clinic hosted by Vaqueros FC coaching staff members and paid soccer professionals.

  • Registration Information

    • $225 on or before June 30, 2024
    • $265 starting on July 1, 2024
    • $305 starting on August 10, 2024
    • Waitlist players will be informed by August 31st if they are rostered or will receive a refund.

  • Fall Age Group Matrix & Format

    • U6:  2020 | 2019
    • U8:  2018 | 2017
    • U10:  2016 | 2015
    • U12:  2014 | 2013
    • U14:  2012 | 2011

    GAME FORMAT

    • U6 Co-ed Division: 3v3 or 4v4, Size 3 Ball
    • U8 Division: 7v7, Size 4 Ball
    • U10 Division: 7v7, Size 4 Ball
    • U12 Division: 9v9, Size 4 Ball
    • U14 Division: 11v11, Size 5 Ball

    * Divisions and game formats could change pending overall numbers and team creation needs for scheduling purposes

  • Player Clinic Program

    • Clinics are run by Vaqueros directors, coaches, and coaching professionals hired by Poway Youth Soccer League.
    • Clinics begin Friday, August 30th.
    • This is a 6-week Program.

  • Team Practices

    • Practices begin the week of August 26th, 2024, based on volunteer coach scheduling availability.
    • Subject to change based on the timeliness of registration numbers, team formation,  AND coaching volunteers.

  • Saturday Games

    • The first game will be on Saturday, September 7th, 2024
    • The last game will be Saturday, November 9th, 2024

  • All Star Program

    Try-Outs:

    Tues, Nov 12 & Thurs, Nov 14

    G/B U8, 5:30-6:45 @ Valley

    G/B U10, 5:30-6:45 @ Valley

    BU12, 7:00pm-8:15pm


    $125.00. 


    Then  $125.00 includes: 

    Practices will be Tues/Thurs

    SDSC Tournament: Dec 14-15 (Reg Deadline: November 28, 2024)

    Scripps Tournament: Dec 21-22

    Jersey, socks, sweatshirt and sack bag.

    LOCATIONS


    Clinics and practices are within the city of Poway at the following facilities: Garden Road Park, Hilleary Park, Meadowbrook Middle School, Silverset Neighborhood Park, Valley Elementary, and Valle Verde Park.


    OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS


    Unfortunately, there will be no make-ups due to weather and/or circumstances we can not control (e.g., city field closures, etc.)

    You may request to play with a friend, but there are NO guarantees. Friend requests are NOT considered unless the player chooses a friend that chooses them back.


    Multiple friend requests will NOT be considered, as this can create unbalanced teams.


    Refunds will NOT be issued if friend requests are not granted.
